This is an excellent class for those individuals who are interested in becoming members of the Church of the Nazarene as well as for those who would like a refesher course on what it means to be a Nazarene.

Through this class you will learn about:

The history of the Church of the Nazarene: From the founding of the church to the ministry of Phineas F. Bresee, a short but complete history of the early church.

What Nazarenes believe:  The articles of faith of the Church of the Nazarene and basic Christian doctrines from a Wesleyan perspective, explained in everyday language.

How the Church is organized:  From the church worldwide to the local church, how the church organized in leadership, finances, and ministry.

How Nazarenes live as Christians:  How to develop spiritual disciplines.  Also, how Nazarenes respond to controversial social issues, including divorce, sexuality, and the use of alcohol.

What it means to be a member of the Church of the Nazarene:  Topics include growing as a Christian, tithing your income, serving in ministry, and sharing your faith.
